Missing Emotions

Missing Emotions, captures emotions suspended and ultimately lost between virtual space and reality; Drawing from personal experience embedded in virtual communication during migration and separation from loved ones, the painting traces the evolution of long-distance connections from early voice-only calls to today’s high-resolution video technologies. Yet, virtual conversations often end with the words, “I miss you, I wish you were here,” revealing an emotional absence that persists beyond the visual presence.
Through abstraction, spatial division, and the dual composition of the painting, Missing Emotions depicts the gap between what technology transmits and what it cannot carry; the human desire for closeness, touch, and shared presence. It is a meditation on what it means to be connected, emotionally distant, together, and apart.
